Welcome to the True Utility terms and conditions for use.
These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website at trueutility.com. By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Using this website indicates that you accept these terms and conditions regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us or order from us. If you do not accept these terms, do not use this website.
This website is owned and operated by True Brands Ltd who are completely dedicated to your total satisfaction. If you have any suggestions or comments or if you need to contact us, please email us using the link on the contact page.
1. MAKING A PURCHASE
1.1 Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
1.2 We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept PayPal, Visa and MasterCard.
1.3 If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
1.4 When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
1.5 You must be over 18 to purchase any TRUE UTILITY knives.
2. SHIPPING AND HANDLING
2.1 We will despatch your item within 5 working days. As delivery is by Royal Mail / Parcel Force we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the postal system.
2.2 We will do our utmost to make sure that all orders are fulfilled and delivered within the timeframe specified but should events outside our control prevent this we will contact you by email and arrange alternatives.
2.3 Additional shipping charges will be made for international orders based on the weight of product(s) ordered. Please contact us for details.
3. DELIVERY SCHEDULE
3.1 We will normally despatch your order within 5 business days. For International orders please allow 10 days for delivery. Please allow for delays during holiday periods. Please call or contact for special requests.
3.2 You must inform us within a reasonable time if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
3.4 You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
4. TAX CHARGES
4.1 For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
5 Credit Card Security
5.1 When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
6.1 Products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship by True Brands for 2 years from date of purchase. If defective during warranty period, product will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Warranty doesn’t cover: water damage, improper handling, battery life, bulbs, flame consistency and colour clarity, colour finish, accidents, wear and tear. We recommend sending returns by recorded delivery. Proof of purchase is required. See contact details for address.
7.1 True Brands Ltd do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
8. Returns Policy
8.1 Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
8.2 You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, not including the cost of return. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or wrongly described.
8.3 Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.
8.4 None of these terms and conditions affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
